Winter
The weather used to be seriously cold while there were not enough and modern facilities to warm all rooms, so a kind of simple table called KORSI. It was covered with a large blanket and a lump of burning coal was put under it. Every morning and night they changed the burning coal. As it was in one room, all family members had to gather around it and take a blanket to be warmed. Actually, in this case, they made a close family and talk to each other about their daily routine. In the long night of winter, they read some poems of famous Iranian poets such as Sadi, Hafez, Ferdowsi, Molavi and so on. As with words, it seems that winter is the time of cultural improvement. Most of the village’s elderly had read by heart their poem and recited when they hang out with family. They behaved according to what they explained in these books. Therefore, they were warm and helpful to deal with other people’s problems.
